As you know, our Box N°13- February 2020 was curated around the theme Dans Ma Cuisine, or “In My Kitchen” – and today we reveal its contents!
The kitchen is the heart of every family home, especially in France. With this in mind, we carefully curated a collection of items from some of France’s top brands and artisans to create this special culinary box meant to help you bring a decidedly French flavour into your own home.
Revealing the February 2020 Box
A baking dish from Emile Henry: For this Box, we chose a baking dish in classic white to add to your culinary collection. Emile Henry’s ceramics are renowned in the French cooking world, dishwasher-safe and sure to last you a lifetime.
A tote from Charvet Editions: Elevate your daily, on-the-go grab bag with Charvet. This natural, modern tote is the utmost of French artisanal quality, easily washable and suitable for all occasions – whether it’s grocery shopping (points for sustainability!), a picnic, or a day at the beach. We are proud to be working again with Charvet, the last brand still weaving linen in France.
A cookbook by Clotilde Dusoulier: This stunning book of recipes will have your mouth watering page by page. Featuring how-to’s for both classic and modern French dishes accompanied by beautiful photography, “Tasting Paris” is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. We love this French-born author’s mix of authentic recipes and interesting information about the great restaurants and food vendors of Paris.
Two table mats made exclusively for MSFB by Serie Limitée Louise: We love Série Limitée Louise not only for their exquisite French linen, but for their sustainable production process. In line with our culinary theme, we chose a vintage crab illustration to create two 100% linen table mats for you. Elegant and machine-washable, use these beautiful mats for any meal.
A copper butter dish from Atelier Cuivre: Copper is the practical and beautiful key to every French kitchen! The copper butter dish we chose for our February Box is the ideal size for serving butter at your breakfast table. Care for your special new kitchen addition by cleaning gently with dish soap and warm water.
A cutting board & knife set from Jean Dubost: Jean Dubost is widely-known as one of the best culinary brands in France, and we selected his charming knife and board made of beechwood to bring some French flair to your next apéritif. We recommend using this set to display cheese and crackers. Bon appétit!
An antique mini shaker: We were happy to be able to secure and include a vintage shaker for you in this Box. Made with a glass base and a metal top, it’s as ideal for sprinkling cinnamon on hot chocolate as it is as a small salt dispenser on your dining table. This adorable little shaker comes cleaned and polished so you can immediately enjoy!
A painting from our resident artist – Pierre Yves Bonnet: For our February Box, Pierre has painted for you delicate snowdrops accompanied by a couple of small insects – his signature style – on top of a vintage book page. A truly gorgeous juxtaposition.
Our February extra – herbes de provence from Provence Tradition: In every edition of our Box, we include an extra little thank you gift for our annual and quarterly subscribers. For our Dans My Cuisine Box, it made perfect sense to include a pack of our favorite organic herbes de provence, a staple ingredient in any French kitchen. Use this special, versatile herb mix on meats or vegetables or in sauces and stews.
